The purpose of the paper is to investigate the influence of the duct shape of a flow accelerating duct and the relative axial location of the propeller in the duct on the performance of the complete propulsor, the pressure distribution on the duct, and the propeller design. Recent advances in manufacturing technology have made hydrodynamically well designed ducts more feasible than earlier.
