The cosmonauts work-rest regime is discussed as a major problem to be overcome in space flight. The essential phytological and physiological problems encountered (disruptions of the sleep-wakefulness cycle, poor quality sleep, loss of appetite) and possible ways to overcome them are cited. A chart is provided for a crew regime for crews consisting of various numbers of persons. The schedule in the chart does not provide optimum results. (Author)
