The project begins approximately 3 miles southwest of the Thrasher Road intersection with State Route 29 and extends about 15 miles to northwest of the Retro-Hughes Road intersection with State Route 29. The relocation of the highway to provide improved capacity, alignment and safety would result in a more functional and operationally sound facility. Four alternates are proposed. If Alternate C is approved for corridor location, no adverse effects upon the environment are contemplated.
