NHTSA's National Center for Statistics and Analysis (NCSA) recently completed a study of data on he causes of death for all persons, by age and sex, which occurred in the U.S. in 1994. The purpose of the study is to highlight motor vehicle crashes as a leading cause of death. The statistics are based upon the NCHS data on causes of death for calendar year 1994.
