A large-scale data collection to assess the lateral navigation performance of aircraft equipped with advanced navigation systems was conducted at the Karlsruhe and Maastricht UACs. The final report compares the track-keeping performance of ARMA-equipped L1011s, AINS70-equipped DC10s and Sperry-equipped A310, B757 and B767 aircraft. An overall 99% NM were observed at 10 NM or more from route points.
