The report describes the proposal for construction which will improve the traffic capacity and safety of US 75 and its interchanges with Lower Silver Lake Road, US 24 and Brickyard Road. The project is partially within the City Limits of Topeka, Kansas, and is approximately 2.1 miles in length, extending from the Kansas River to Soldier Creek. The project will have a new bridge over the Kansas River for Southbound traffic; will utilize existing US 75 as the northbound lanes of the four lane project from and including the Kansas River Bridge north to US 24; and would have a new interchange at the intersection of US 24 and US 75 west. North of US 24 the project would follow a diagonal relocation to Soldier Creek as one alternate, or follow existing US 75 as another alternate. A summary of environmental impacts is included.
