There is little research performed concerning pilot judgement and decision making in general aviation. Applicable results show that it is not lack of information that causes the accidents but rather the failure to understand the consequences of the made decisions. The different steps in the investigation have been: Development of a decision model for flight planning, selection of flight. Design of the CBT (Computer Based Training) program. Test of the CBT program, data collection of performance measurements and selfassessment scales.
