This report presents the results of a test program to determine the drag of supersonic inlets operating at transonic Mach number conditions. It is a supplement to Air Force Report AFAPL-TR-68-119 describing the results of additional tests conducted under Air Force Contract F33615-68-C-1520. Data are presented showing the additive drag and total inlet drag of the F-4 aircraft inlet measured in the presence of the aircraft forebody and in an undisturbed stream. Inlet drag test data are also presented for a series of thirteen configurations where the sideplate geometry is the primary variable. All thirteen configurations are variations on a single two-dimensional inlet. Tests to reproduce some of the data reported in AFAPL-TR-68-119 were conducted to evaluate the accuracy of the experimental procedure. (Author)
