This report documents a parametric cost model for aircraft avionics installations and modifications. Cost and technical data collected during a previous avionics installation cost study, as well as data collected from data sources identified during this effort were used to analyze costs of individual avionics black-box modifications or installations into aircraft. The report details the methodology used to construct the data base and to develop cost-estimating relationships (CERs). Details of CERS developed for non-recurring costs, recurring installation/modification kit costs, labor costs, and manhours are provided, as well as the supporting data used in the analyses. The report is only available to authorized U.S. Government personnel.
