The main objective of the research performed under SHRP 2 Renewal Project R26 was to developguidelines on pavement preservation strategies for high-traffic-volume roadways that can be implemented and used by public agencies. A secondary objective was to identify promising pavement preservation strategies for application on high-traffic-volume roadways that might not commonly be used and to make recommendations for further research opportunities.
