The Manual presents a methodology for integrating projectile impact damage tolerance into aircraft structural design. The information is presented in three sections: (1) Description of Projectile Threats; (2) Analysis Methods for Predicting Structural Response to Projectile Impact; and (3) Design Guidelines for Impact Tolerance. This report has been prepared at the request of the Structures and Materials Panel of AGARD.
