Model testing took place in calm water and waves. Resistance and self propulsion tests were performed. The foil propeller is working in waves of any direction, but the efficiency is dependent of the wave period compared to the ships natural period - as one may expect. Better efficiency may be achieved by active control. (ERA citation 11:013576)
