On April 30, 1985, at 3:00 p.m., workers of an electrical construction company were in the process of installing a 7200 volt power line when the accident occurred. It appears the new line came into contact with an existing phase wire and burned through, causing the line to fall to the ground, and landed on the pole trailer. A workman was in the truck (which was still hitched to the trailer) when the line fell. For some reason, the worker in the truck got out and attempted to unhitch the trailer, resulting in his electrocution.
