The lower miter gates at Brandon Road, Dresden Island, and Marseilles Locks on the Illinois Waterway(IWW) are deteriorated due to weathering and extended usage and are in need of replacement. The lock walls at Lockport Lock need resurfacing as well. Other modifications can be done concurrently while the locks are shut down for repair. These modifications are upgrading bubbler systems and installing traveling kevels at Dresden Island and Marseilles, installing floating mooring bitts and replacing control stand enclosure at all four locations, and replacing lock lighting at Lockport. The lower miter gate repairs and Lockport lock wall resurfacing have been addressed. The Environmental Assessment addresses: (1) Upgrading bubbler systems and installing traveling kevels at Dresden Island and Marseilles Locks; (2) Installing additional floating mooring bitts at all four locations; (3) Replacing control stand enclosures at all four locations; and (4) Replacing lock lighting at Lockport.
