Heat-transfer was investigated on an air-cooled turbine vane made from photoetched laminates that were joined by diffusion bonding. Data from the investigation were compared with data of an impingement-, convection-, and film-cooled vane and a full-coverage film-cooled vane, and data of a transpiration-cooled vane. (Author)
