Tasks carried out to develop the mathematical model and data package for the Citation 500 full flight simulator are described. The a priori models of the aerodynamics, engines, mass properties, flight control system and landing gear are outlined. The high accuracy measurement system and the flight test program are discussed. The data analysis and mathematical model development are described using the aerodynamic lift coefficient as an example. Offline and online flight simulation used for model evaluation are discussed and model validation is described with some results outlined.
