The report contains the results of a pilot program sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Commerce and Economic Development in cooperation with the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. The program was intended to assist New Jersey rail shippers/receivers (users) confronted with possible Conrail corrective actions and/or abandonments of railroad lines that serve them. The intent of the program was to provide these rail line users with information to assist them in making business decisions to remain in their present New Jersey locations.
