A single-dial direct information source is presented to the pilot of an aircraft of the net thrust of the aircraft during take-off, taking into account not only the engine output, but also compensating for any retarding forces that may act as a drag on the aircraft. The indicator dial is associated with a rack, gear, and weight which are moved by the moveable wall of a spring bellows. Total pressure is introduced into the bellows.
