The existing horn antennas used in commercial pavement Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems are based on 20 year old technology and design concepts. In the study, a prototype antenna has been designed and tested in the laboratory. The preliminary results indicate that the antenna could transmit and receive GPR energy.
