The report collects, derives and defines the technical information which is applicable to detail design and analysis of target towlines. Parametric methods are developed for optimization of performance and towline length. The analytical methods which are presented are generally applicable whenever a tensile member is trailed from an airplane with a stabilizing or functioning device attached. (Author)
