In flight pressure measurements on airfoil profiles were performed in order to eliminate the influence of noise and turbulence in laminar wind tunnels. The profile model was mounted 2.5 m above the wing of a glider. The angle of attack of the profile model could be varied. The measurements were performed in aircraft towing as well as in free flight, in quiet and cloudless weather conditions, at heights between 1000 and 3000 m. The static pressure was measured at 65 positions along the contour at a central cross section of the profile model resulting in a buoyancy coefficient and a pitching moment coefficient. At 70 other positions behind the profile model the global and static pressure in the wake were calculated resulting in a drag coefficient.
