This report summarizes the methods available to predict the aerodynamic static, dynamic, and control characteristics of missiles. The methods selected for Missile Datcom development were based upon a criteria which included ease of use, accuracy, utility over a range of flight conditions and cost effective in their use. This report describes the methodology appropriate for the missile designer. An outline of a Missile Datcom handbook is proposed; an automated version is also recommended for development. Those areas presently lacking suitable methodologies are also highlighted. (Author)
