The project involves the following items: Reconstruct and mark Runway 3/21 (1200' x 150'), parallel and connecting taxiways (1000' x 75'), including adjustment of MIRL and MITL; overlay and mark Runway 3/21 (5600' x 150'); extend, light (MIRL, MITL) and mark Runway 3/21 southwesterly (2200' x 150') to 9000', parallel and connecting taxiways (2500' x 75'); construct fire and rescue equipment building (approximately 1500 square feet). The extension of the runway will allow first time usage by turbojet aircraft. Operations by this type aircraft will increase the ambient noise levels over inhabited areas northeast of the airport.
