Speed control humps designed at TRRL have had a one year trial on two public roads; Motum Road, Norwich and Palace Road, Haringey. Details are given of the method of contruction, public reaction and effects on traffic and accidents. The speed control humps on these roads appeared to be effective in reducing vehicle speed and traffic flow. They were acceptable to the majority of residents and drivers.
