These projects consist of the provision of an interchange at State Road 24 and I-75, six-laning of State Road 24 to SW 23rd Terrace, four-laning State Road 24 from this point to North-South Drive, and providing a four-lane facility from State Road 24 at SW 23rd Terrace to State Road 331. Two alternates for State Road 24 and two alternates for the State Road 24 - State Road 331 connection are proposed. The environmental impacts recognized are displacement and increased noise levels, along with encroachment through a residential subdivision and an Audubon bird sanctuary if the SW 21st Avenue alternate is selected. Lont-term benefits will be greater accessibility and reduced congestion. A substantial reduction in the accident rate is expected.
