The document is a study of the feasibility of establishing additional air service in the Coastal Plains Region with emphasis on the potential for third-level or commuter air carrier service. The report is divided into three sections. Section I is an overview of the existing transportation system in the Region and presents a general review of the various factors that affect air transportation in the Region and relates those factors to the existing market for air service. Section II deals with the requirements for satisfactory operation including stability of demand. Section III summarizes the finding of the study discusses conclusions reached, sets priorities for service and makes recommendations for improving the Region's air system. (Author)
