The accident occurred in Columbus, Ohio at the point where the exit ramp from Interstate 71 southbound joins West Goodale Street from the north. Vehicle A was traveling east on West Goodale Street, and Vehicle B was traveling west on West Goodale Street. A third vehicle, Vehicle C, approaching West Goodale from the Interstate 71 exit ramp failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of Vehicle B. The driver of Vehicle B applied his brakes and slid left of center into Vehicle A. Vehicles A and B were damaged, while Vehicle C escaped undamaged. Vehicle C did not stop and was not apprehended.
