This study, conducted by Wilbur Smith and Associates, was funded by the US Trade and Development Agency. It examines the feasibility of expanding intermodal transportation through the Port of Constantza. It contains the following sections: Introduction and Overview, (1) Review of past & current activities (2) Review of current facilities and operations (3) Traffic forecast (4) Intermodal facility componants (5) Communication and navigation aids (6) Conduct an environmental impact assessment (7) Control, monitoring and MIS requirements (8) Determine institutional requirements (9) Determine personnel requirements (10) Financial analysis and (11) Master Plan. Due to the volume of information in this study, the Final Report is rather lengthy. Thus, to facilitate the reading of the report by interested executives and prospective foreign investors, the Consultants have prepared a shorter version, this Summary Report, which accompanies the Final Report Document. In addition, we have prepared an Executive Summary, providing a brief overview of the Study.
