The Institute of Transport Economics has since 1989 carried out an annual panel survey among transport users (manufacturing industry etc) on the development of domestic freight rates. The survey reflects long distance haulage, i.e., between Oslo to Bergen to Trondheim to Stavanger and Bodo. Domestic freight rates increased by an average 2.4% from 1994 to 1995. Road haulage rates increased by 2.5%, rail transport rates by 3.5%, and sea transport rates increased by 2.4%.
