The goal of the IFRL 'Integrated Freight Rail Link' Consulting Study is to develop a business case for the improvement of intermodal rail flow between the provinces of KawZulu-Natal ('KZN') and Gauteng. The development of the business case will be used to explore the possibility of a separate business(es) that can be run to improve efficiencies of the network. When successful, these increased efficiencies would reduce costs and improve the level of service to increase volumes on this important commerce link for South Africa.
