A prototype 2.5 t diesel fork lift truck is described. A reduction of the medium noise level as per DIN 45635, T. 36 (70% of the nominal rotation speed) at the driver's ear of 10,0 dB (A) to 77.5 dB (A), and reduction of vibration of 50% to 65% measured at the driver's seat are achieved.
