Against a background of an historical and international overview of selection procedures for military pilots mainly in USA where a special Army Aviators selection test is used, the present correlation study of Swedish Army Aviation was carried out. The correlation between selection ratings and performance as Army Aviation trainees were calculated. The results showed very low and mostly insignificant correlations. This finding is discussed and one possible explanation could be found in the selection procedures already passed by the applicants.
