The goal of American Airlines Training Corporation is to provide effective flight training in Alaska, based on information gathered from experienced Alaskan pilots, and AATC's capability in aviation training systems. It is believed that this training will produce a highly-qualified, professionally oriented pilot and will result in a lower accident rate. AATC and the AASF also have worked with insurance underwriters attempting to obtain insurance premium reductions for personnel completing the proposed Alaskan aviation training program. Several underwriters have expressed approval of reducing insurance premiums based on training.
