Three fin/bulb keel models were investigated in a wind tunnel to find their overall flow characteristics using standard methods of flow visualization. A canard rudder was placed forward of the keels to determine the effect of its trailing vortex on the keels. At all incidences tested, the flow characteristics of the keels were found to be similar. These similarities included fin separation bubbles and open separation on the bulbs. The rudder's interference effects on the keels were dependent on its position and hence whether its trailing vortex touched or flowed past the keels.
