Aircraft drops of reefed parachute Mk. 12 with strain gages assembled on mine Mk. 25 Mod. 1 are discussed. This test was conducted to determine the loads applied to the reefing lines of this parachute upon opening, and to assemble the data necessary to compute distance vs. time curves for parachute openings.
