The parameters varied were average carrier speed, turnaround time at either end of shipping route, and cask availability. For a storage facility in the northwest US, the cask fleet requirements are most sensitive to the average transportation speed. The greatest effect on cask requirements for the midwestern facility results from variations in cask turnaround times. (ERA citation 06:034367)
