The ground segment for satellite launching and operation support is one of the most important parts of this type of space activity, not only due to its cost and size but also to its life that, in general, is many years longer than the satellite itself. These are the reasons for considering the experience of those who have already constructed such a segment when one starts designing. A brief description with the data available at the moment, on the ground segment of CNES, ESA and TELESAT is presented.
