Handling and transportation, and ground processing for the Columbus Man Tended Free Flyer (MTFF) and the Attached Pressurized Module (APM) are described. Handling and transportation to the launch sites in configurations as close as possible to the launch configurations presents a challenge to transportation methods and scenarios, and requires an innovative infrastructure. Ground processing checkout activities at the launch sites need to be organized and timelined in a way to have existing launch site facilities and capabilities support the MTFF/APM needs, and to meet the scheduled launch date.
