This report documents a limited operational test to determine the feasibility of the J. I. Case MC4000 rough terrain forklift as a candidate auxiliary mover for the M198 howitzer. The tests were performed using a standard MC4000 forklift fitted with an experimental pintle. The tests were conducted at Fort Bragg, NC, simulating typical landing zone terrain. (Author)
