Fire risks in public transportations is an area which is not controlled by regulations and standards. There is, however, a demand from users, producers and legislators of more knowledge of fire risks in buses, trains etc. In the project the authors have studied a number of ways of analyzing products by using different test methods considerd appropriate for analysis of fire risks in passenger transportation vehicles. The tests of fire resistance that were conducted in the project gave very good results. It should be noticed, though, that in a crash important separating constructions can be damaged or deformed so that the fire resistance decreases or even disappears completely. In the report different test methods are described. Tests have been carried out on some products and the results and ways of interpreting them are reported. The last chapter contains some general advice in this field.
