This report is the first in a series reviewing Soviet developments in aerospace instrumentation. Abstracts contained in the report were selected from Soviet open literature published in 1964 and available at the Aerospace Information Division and the Library of Congress. Information not directly related to the assigned subject has been included because of its broad implications for study in this field. The 78 abstracts are arranged alphabetically by author within each of the following categories: magnetometers, gravity gradient meters, gas composition analysis, micrometeorite detection, cosmic and corpuscular radiation detection, electromagnetic radiation detection, and pressure sensors. A bibliography is presented at the end of the report. (Author)
