The objective of this study was to determine the impact on the Montana state highway system if Canadian Interprovincial or Canamex limits on vehicle size and weight are adopted on a regional or national level. The overall cost of transporting goods on the highway system is influenced by several factors, including the costs of the vehicle and driver, fuel costs, highway user fees, and vehicle capacity and efficiency. To a certain extent, these costs are interdependent, with a reduction in costs in one area possibly resulting in higher costs in another area.
