This was a preliminary study to determine the suitability of one particular aspect of the General Vehicular Research Trainer as a test for predicting success in naval aviation training. The accumulated error scores from using a control stick to reset a linear indicator were used as the performance measure. A series of twelve thirty-second trials was found to provide adequate reliability and variability, and to be possible of administration within practical time limits.
