The Integrated Control and Avionics for Air Superiority (ICAAS) Program is a program to develop, design, and demonstrate selected fighter aircraft technologies needed to kill and survive when outnumbered in air combat engagements. Design emphasis is placed upon functional integration of sensors, fire control, flight control, weapons and interface with the pilot to achieve improved close-in combat. Details of the ICAAS concept and design approach are presented.
