The current status of technology relating to the design of military hydrofoil craft and major craft subsystems is reviewed. Major subsystems covered include struts and foils, hull, ship control, propulsion, and auxiliary machinery. Background information, characteristics, operational experience, and future plans for U. S. Navy hydrofoil craft are also given. (Author)
