Dropped rod accidents are analyzed without negative flux rate reactor trip(NFRT) function to prevent a reactor trip due to dropped rod event by elimination of the NFRT logic for Kori 3 and 4 and Yonggwang 1 and 2 units. three major analyses are performed : Transient analysis, thermal-hydraulic analysis and core design analysis for V5H fuel supplied by westinghouse. All safety criteria are met, therefore NFRT logic can be eliminated for Kori 3 and 4 and Yongawang 1 and 2 units (author). 13 refs., 25 figs.
