The work performed to integrate a solid rocket booster (SRB) with the AQM-37C Missile Target is presented. The SRB performance and interface requirements were derived based on AQM-37C operational requirements. Tradeoffs of propellant and insulation/stress relief system were made to define a quality design that meets system safety and performance requirements. Booster materials and manufacturing processes were carefully selected in an effort to minimize cost. Propellant and igniter characterization tests were performed and rocket motor case test articles manufactured for future testing.
