It is deemed necessary to construct a roadway connecting Mile 6.4 on Badger Road with Mile 6.4 on the Chena Hot Springs Road. Presently no single facility connects these two roadways. Within the immediate project area, a certain amount of new development, mostly in the form of new home construction, is sure to occur as a result of providing access to an isolated area. Since the proposed project does not cause the relocation of any families or businesses, no immediate adverse social economical environmental effects are anticipated. However, construction scars from cutting are unavoidable. Since project traffic volumes do not warrant paving the proposed project at this time, dust created from road use, especially during the dry summer months, could prove to be a minor aesthetic problem.
