A national survey of White South Africans was undertaken to determine their attitudes towards the desegregation of public transport. The study found that there is considerable resistance to multiracial public transport services among Whites, particularly Afrikaans-speaking Whites. Attitudes toward desegregation will be strongly related to the quality of service provided.
