This volume includes the estimated development costs for the STF219-B and STF219-L turbofan engines. These Phase II-A engine designs have evolved from optimization studies with the aircraft manufacturers. Primarily as a result of the difference in aircraft configuration, Lockheed's selection indicated an engine size larger than that selected by Boeing. These engines have been designated the STF219-L (Lockheed) and STF219-B (Boeing).
